City immediately put pressure on the Dragon’s side, effectively transferring the ball around the back, to drive up the wings and into the D. The first of nine goals was put away by centre half Ellyn Roberts in a successful short corner. She was then joined on the score sheet by Annabel Pounder and Olivia Greenway, who scored two before the half time whistle let the hosts regroup. But Olivia was on a roll, and scored two more in the opening of the second half. Olivia's sister and fellow striker Emily Greenway was next to score as City took total charge. Annabel then added to her own tally of two, before Jenni Stangham closed the scoring with a fantastic individual goal, making it 0-9 to City. It was a game that reflected the league positions, with City sitting second and Dragon's 5 at the bottom. The visitors showed their worth with strong passing, constant attack and successful defending against any chances.

The first half saw the 3s on top, gaining most of the possession through lovely transferring all over the pitch, accurate passing into space, communication among players, and overall hard work and determination. The 4s put up a good fight using Charlotte Gundry’s pace on the right wing, posing a threat to the 3’s defensive line. Staying strong and calm, the 3s were able to manoeuvre the ball to the forwards, who then skillfully eliminated the 4s defenders, scoring a number of goals through both individual strength and linking play from Olivia Greenway (x2) and Sophia Basset. Emily Spencer also converted a short corner with her trademark straight hit into the back of the net. The second half saw no slacking from City 3s, still eager to obtain more goals. Heather Tasker’s magnificent goal made the score 0-5 after successfully dribbling past several opponents. The 4s did not give up; continuing to attack the 3’s D and winning a number of short corners, only to be stopped by 4s goalkeeper Milly Hyatt. Further goals from Sophia Basset and Rachael Phillips ended the game 0-7 to NCHC 3s. Everyone should be proud of their efforts and sportsmanship.

The first half was end to end physical hockey and it was a while before the first break came from City; the build up starting in defence, driven up by midfield and into the D, where Sophia Bassset flicked the ball up over the goal keeper to open the scoring. Magpies responded and City goalie Grace Thrower made some great saves against their attempts. The visitor's defence worked hard, managing to stop a short-corner that followed. Eventually, however, Magpies scored and it was 1-1 going into half-time. After a team talk by injured captain Kim Lusher, City came out with spirits high and went up a gear. The game continued to be physical and the hosts had a few chances from some strong runs up the wing. Yet, most of the possession was City’s and with some strong passes forward by Ellyn Roberts and Fiona Spencer, the ball was picked up by midfield and driven forward again, where a second goal came from Sophia following a great cross into the D from Rachael Phillips. Magpies fought back hard, until City scored again from a short corner, as player of the match Sophia completed a hat-trick. In the last ten minutes, Rachael converted another short corner to finish the game 1-4. It was a fantastic team performance from the defence, midfield and forwards all working tirelessly to get yet another great win in City's undefeated run since Christmas.

Dereham were working hard to break through city's midfield, and did have a couple of chances, which were skillfully kept out by goal keeper Milly Hyatt. City went into the 2nd half 0-2 up, and kept the momentum going, with some good passing round the back between Fiona Spencer, Kim Lusher and Kathy Sinnamon. The midfield continued to distribute the ball up to the forward line, with Jenny Brine and player of the match Jenni Stanghan linking up well on the left hand side. Grace Kidner was working hard on the right, and was able to put a strong pass in to the D to Sophia Basset, who swept the ball to the left post where Holly Totten was waiting to ensure the ball went over the line. From the off, City gained possession with slick passing throughout the pitch and some lovely through-balls from Ellyn Roberts to the forwards, who made some skilful runs to the baseline. With numerous chances City kept pushing, effectively using the press to limit the out-letting options for the UEA 2s. The first goal came from a direct cross from Olivia Greenway, after an interception from the top of the UEA’s D, to sister Emily Greenway who calmly placed the ball in the back of the goal. Determined for another score, City created several chances through Rachael Phillips and Kirsten Aitken and multiple short corners, which unfortunately weren’t converted. With team talk led by coach Nick Hooper and captain Kim Lusher, the second half saw City stepping up their game. Zoe Smith remarkably eliminated three defenders down the right hand side towards the baseline and dropped the ball to Holly Totten, who was positioned on the penalty spot, where she majestically placed the ball in the goal. The final score was from Olivia Greenway perfectly standing on the post, who tipped it into the goal from a cross by Ellyn Roberts. The well-deserved final score was 0-3 to City. This makes four consecutive wins for a team who should be proud of their performances to date.

With Norwich City missing a few key players they did well at holding Dragons to 0-0 for the majority of the game. Norwich City's attacking unit really tested the Dragons defence. Sophia Bassett, Rachael Phillips and Emily Greenway denied converting goals by the Dragons GK or shots just just wide of the post. The match was pacey and end to end, with Dragons also having their chances and giving the City defence much work to do. Norwich City's GK Emily Waldron (player of the match) orchestrated the defensive unit and made some great saves - a scuffle in the D brought Emily Waldron City's GK out of the goal and Dragon's Ali Windsor-Waite waiting took an opportunity to lift the ball towards goal, the City defence held their breath as Jenni Stanghan standing on the goal line cleared the lifted ball which gained the admiration of the spectators. City picked up the pace further in the second half - however it was Dragons who capitalised after a break left City overloaded and with the ball pinging around the D it somehow finally petered over the goal line in the last few moments of the game.

Travelling to Lowestoft with the bare 11 proved a tall ask. The Norwich City goal keeper Emily Waldron was kept busy in the first half as the Norwich City team took some time adapting to the playing surface, and with Lowestoft having the home advantage they defended well. Lowestoft Railway were the first to open the scoring with a reverse strike at the top of the D which saw an unstoppable shot hit the back of the net. Norwich City then fought back, with a glancing touch on the post from Olivia Greenway to level the score line. However, just before the half time whistle, Lowestoft Railway found a gap in the Norwich City defence to score the winning goal of the match. Norwich City, without substitutes, began to feel the pain in the second half, but battled on with Zoe Smith (player of the match) working relentlessly, and with some amazing saves from Norwich City’s goal keeper Emily Waldron, the City side were able to keep the goals conceded to a minimum and were unfortunate not to get at least a draw from the game.
