That goal ignited a fire in the 3s, determined to overcome not just the biting cold but also the opposition. Momentum was on our side, and before long, a second goal followed, sending us into halftime with a 2-0 lead. During the halftime huddle, we embraced our inner penguins, huddling for warmth while Capt delivered wise words to keep us going. However, the second half saw the opposition ramping up their attack, putting our defense under immense pressure. Jo and the backline worked tirelessly, making crucial saves, but the relentless onslaught saw our lead slip away, bringing the score to 2-2. Every touch of the ball sent shivers through our frozen bones, but we refused to back down. With both the pressure and snowfall intensifying, the 3s pushed forward with renewed determination. The forwards and midfield piled on the pressure, forcing the opposition’s defense into a mistake that led to a penalty flick. Tilly stepped up, ice in her veins, and calmly slotted the ball into the net, restoring our lead.
