Club and Pitch Information
Norwich City Hockey Club is a continually growing based in the city of Norwich which is located in East Anglia/Norfolk.
Norwich City Hockey Club make use of two recently laid astro-turf pitches at Taverham Recreational Facilities (TRF), one being a hybrid environment friendly water style H2O pitch and the other a traditional sand dressed surface.
Our original pitch, based at Taverham in Norfolk, was constructed in October 1995 when a sports grant was provided on a joint basis to both Norwich City and Broadland Hockey Clubs. An organisation was set up, Taverham Recreation Facilities (TRF), to manage the facilities with an aim to also providing them to the local community and also to the pupils of the local school for their recreational activities. This is the first step of a very large project which is eventually planned to site a second pitch along with a club house.
In 2013 our new H2O pitch was laid, creating an impressive dual pitch site, and during the 2014/2015 season we replaced our original 1995 pitch with a new sand dressed one, now boasting one of the most impressive hockey venues in the region.
